With so many different types of glasses available these days, it’s hard to know where to turn for good advice on making a purchase. Add in the high-end brands and crazy prices, you may be out a few bucks if you accidentally lose a pair. Last week, the international eye care world converged on New York City for Vision Expo East. Billed as the “the world’s most inclusive ophthalmic conference and expo,” Vision Expo takes place twice a year (once in New York, once in Las Vegas) and is packed full of “events focused on education, fashion and technology.” Since Vision Expo takes place fairly close to home (for me), I didn’t need to make any elaborate NYC plans. Super Bowl MVP Tackles Vision Problems in the Community

The NFL season kicked off this past weekend, which is good news for fans of football. In the first game of the year, the Denver Broncos squeaked by the Carolina Panthers (21 – 20) in a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl. A big part of Denver’s victory came through the efforts of star linebacker, Von Miller. If you’re not familiar with him, he’s only 27 years old and he’s earned a lifetime’s worth of athletic honors.
