Earlier this year, I made plans to extend the health and eye care conversation beyond my exam room. Due to limited time with patients, I felt several important topics weren’t getting enough attention.
I also wanted to make myself available, if necessary. With the encouragement of some good family and friends, OcularPrime was created.
Fifty posts later, I’d have to say it’s in full swing.
In regards to online blogging, I’m starting to find my footing. Keeping up with the industry, curating topics, and social media planning is helping me find my voice. It’s also shaping my identity, which is a good thing.
To say the least, the process is very healthy and rewarding. Not bad for someone who types away on train rides, and does it all on the fly here in New York City.
Now, I’m not sure if everything I share is relevant to every single person. But I’ll continue to make changes through trial and error. My vision is still to provide solid, easy to apply health advice to anyone who comes across OcularPrime.
Beyond that, I hope information and education will lead to an improved state of overall health.
What to Expect?
In the next fifty posts, I’ll continue to stick to the plan. I’ll write about health, eye care, fitness, nutrition, and other subjects that ignite my passion. I’ll eventually throw in a few videos in there and maybe share some more personal stories, but I’m really in no hurry at all.
That said, I’ll do my best to commit to one post per week, plus an added recipe whenever I can.
The bottom line is I really enjoy the process of sharing and I’m grateful to live in a time where it’s all possible.
In the Meantime:
I’d like to thank everyone out there for keeping up with me, especially those who’ve been in contact through the site. I encourage you to continue to “Ask the Doctor” your relevant questions. Feel free to drop a comment if you have something to add to the conversation as well.
